Picture this: a future where we create less waste, reuse more, and turn what we do use into something valuable for our people and our environment. It’s a big shift from the old ‘make, use, dump’ model – and it starts with us, together.
Right now, we send about 920 tonnes of waste to Victoria Flats Landfill every single week. The kicker? Most of it doesn’t need to end up there. With the right systems, smarter choices, and a bit of know-how, we can do much better.
That’s what the WMMP is all about – setting a clear direction for how we, as a community, can reduce waste, lower emissions, and move toward a circular economy. But we can’t do it alone.
