Help shape the future of Peter Fraser Park Playground!

We're working on a plan to renew the Peter Fraser Park Playground to create a fun, safe, and accessible play space for all.

Before any design work begins, we want to hear from the local community and park users about what they value in Peter Fraser Park and what they would like to see in a future playground.

Your feedback will help guide the design by sharing the types of play experiences, equipment, and features that matter most to local families, residents and visitors. We'll be working to a budget so the play elements included in the final design will be determined based on feedback and what works best within the reserve space.

Please click the link at the bottom of the page to take part in a survey which should take around 5 minutes to complete.

The survey will be open for feedback from Sunday 8 March 2026 to Sunday 12 April 2026.

Next steps

Your feedback on the Peter Fraser Park playground will help our talented landscape architects create designs for the area. Once we’ve finished the concepts, we’ll present them to the Lake Hāwea community to make sure we’re on the right track. They'll also be available on our Council projects webpage at www.qldc.govt.nz/council-projects
