Consultation has concluded

We're proposing to introduce new parking restrictions in the Anderson Heights commercial area to make it easier for customers to find a park and provide better access to local shops and businesses.

There is plenty of on and off street carparking in this area to go around however it is currently not working as well as it could. This has led to a number of requests from businesses and residents to introduce parking restrictions to help keep things moving and provide better access for customers.

We asked for feedback in September last year to better understand the local needs in this area. We received lots of feedback and have now landed on a final proposal. We invite you to take a look at the map below and let us know your thoughts on what's being proposed.

What's proposed:

The follow map shows what and where restrictions are proposed for this area. Note, the lines on the map show which side of the road restrictions could apply. There will still be unrestricted parking areas on these roads.

How to take part

Please complete the feedback form below.

Feedback closes on 20 June 2021

Next steps

Once we've gathered and analysed the feedback received, we'll prepare a report to present to the Wanaka Community Board at its July meeting. If approved, the restrictions are expected to be in place by September 2021.
