Background and vision
Lismore Park is a large reserve located in the heart of Wānaka in the north-eastern side of Roys Bay, overlooking the bay towards Roys Peak.
The park is popular as a thoroughfare between Wānaka town centre and the surrounding schools and residential area, as well as being frequently used for casual recreation. Lismore Park features an 18-hole disc golf course and the Lismore Bike Jump Park within the area of pines.
The draft development plan details the proposed activity use for Lismore Park. The plan focuses on enhancing the park to support its existing uses, including a potential perimeter loop track, native planting, reflective spaces and more accessible parking.
