Consultation has concluded.

We're transforming the house at 516 Ladies Mile Highway into a multi purpose community facility and invite expressions of interest from Friday 3 June to 5.00pm Sunday 19 June.

QLDC is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from Wakatipu based community groups who would be willing to relocate to a new community centre at 516 Ladies Mile on SH6. We are interested in hearing from community groups who have regular re-occuring community activities and are in need of permanent premises that serve an on-going need. Community groups that respond to this EOI may be considering alternative premises within the Queenstown area and may be facing any of the following challenges:

  1. Outgrowing your current premises due to an increase in membership/participation numbers
  2. Premises are not fit for purpose
  3. Restricted or limited access to existing premises

QLDC are interested in understanding the needs of potential community and user groups of the facility.

How to submit at expression of interest

Please use the online form below.

Expressions of interest must be received by Sunday 19 June 2022.

What happens next?

Following the closing date, we'll review the expressions of interest received against the selection criteria to prioritise and understand local requirements.

We'll be considering the following things:

  • The status of the group (i.e. priority will be given to charity and not-for-profit groups)
  • The type of activities and how they might complement each other to provide a broad range of recreation opportunities
  • Whether synergies exist to share space with other groups
  • Whether groups existing facilities are fit for purpose.

This process will take approximately two weeks. Once this is complete, we'll come back to you on whether your requirements can be met and next steps.
