Accessibility and Inclusion Survey
Accessibility and inclusion is everyone's business.
Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC) wants to better understand the experiences of disabled and neurodivergent people, people with access needs, their whānau, carers and supporters, and the wider community.
We're taking a closer look at how accessible and inclusive our services, facilities, information and community spaces are. We want to hear what's working well, where barriers exist, and what improvements could make the biggest difference.
As part of this work, we're partnering with the New Zealand Disability Employers' Network (NZDEN) to better understand community needs and identify opportunities to make our district more accessible and inclusive for everyone.
Your feedback will help shape future accessibility and inclusion priorities, support the review of QLDC's Disability Policy, and guide practical improvements across Council services, facilities, information and engagement.
Have your say by completing our Accessibility and Inclusion Survey by 20 September 2026.
Who should take part?

What happens next?
This survey is part of a broader programme of work being delivered in partnership with the New Zealand Disability Employers' Network (NZDEN).
Once the survey closes, we'll review what we've heard from the community alongside other engagement and research undertaken as part of this project.
The findings will help:
- Inform the review of QLDC's Disability Policy
- Identify priority areas for improvement
- Shape future accessibility and inclusion initiatives
- Support future planning and decision-making
- Establish a baseline so we can measure progress over time
There will be more opportunities to stay involved as the project progresses, including targeted engagement with community groups, organisations and people with lived experience, as well as future engagement on a draft Disability Policy.
