Queenstown Bay Foreshore Reserve Management Plan 2016 Review

Council is considering potential new commercial activities in a defined area of the St Omer Park Recreation Reserve, shown in the Amended Reserve Management Plan for Review.

Commercial activities could include a licence for access across the reserve, in the area shown below:

Currently, the Queenstown Bay Foreshore Reserves Management Plan 2016 does not allow commercial activities in this part of the St Omer Park Reserve, instead managing the area for passive recreation activities and the enjoyment of the lake's edge.

What happens next?

Following public consultation, submissions will be heard by a hearings panel, before Council considers the outcome of the consultation process and hearing.

Council will then determine whether the Queenstown Bay Foreshore Reserves Management Plan 2016 will be revised.
