The Whakatipu Community Hub Charitable Trust is seeking a lease over Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC) land located at the north-eastern edge of the Queenstown Events Centre, to provide a community facility offering affordable office rental and co-working spaces for organisations in the district.

The proposed lease area is part of Lot 2 DP 476309, part of Section 61 Block I Shotover SD and part of Section 62 Block I Shotover SD, and comprises an area of approximately 1.18ha.


About the lease:

Commencement date: To be confirmed
Duration of lease: 34 years and 364 days from the Commencement Date
Activity of lease: Offices, meeting rooms and community events as permitted under QLDC's Operative District Plan
Annual ground rental: $1.00 per annum plus GST in accordance with the Community Facility Funding Policy. The Annual Ground Rent shall be reviewed from time to time in accordance with the Community Facility Funding Policy.
Lessor: Queenstown Lakes District Council
Lessee: Whakatipu Community Hub Charitable Trust
